For reliable arc extinguishing, a double contact gap and two arc extinguishing chambers are used. Optimal current conductivity is provided by a silver-containing contact group.

This device also provides protection of the electrical network from short circuit and overload. The PROxima UZDP is made in the 1P+N version. The rated breaking capacity (Icn) is 6 kA.
